Caliber: Strength Training is a workout planner and tracker from Caliber Fitness, Inc., a New York company that Caliber says was founded in 2017. One app holds three tiers: a free version, a paid tier called Caliber Plus, and 1-on-1 coaching with a human trainer. The free version lets you build and log an unlimited number of workouts, watch step-by-step form videos, and train with friends in private Workout Circles, where a personal best is shared with the group. Caliber says no gym is required and that you can start with no equipment at all.
Caliber Plus is the paid app tier. The App Store description adds a choice of 120+ coach-designed training plans, a Strength Score that rates how strong you are against your potential for your age and gender, Strength Balance, Caliber Lessons, nutrition targets, custom exercises and supersets, exercise swaps and progress photos. Caliber's own workout-app page counts differently: 100+ strength and mobility plans rather than 120+, and 700+ exercises where the App Store and Google Play say 800+. The FAQ mentions instructions for over 500 exercises.
The app syncs cardio, nutrition, steps and body stats from Apple Health. A feature called Connect to AI is an MCP server that passes your training data to ChatGPT and Claude, set up under Menu > Connected Apps. The coaching is done by people, not software. Caliber says its trainers are certified and have over 11 years of training experience on average, and it does not name the certifying bodies.
Coaching adds a training and nutrition program written for you, in-app chat and video messaging, video form reviews, live video calls and a weekly progress review. Caliber gives the coaching price only as starting at around $200 per month, structured as a 3 month program, while its personal trainer page says billing is month-to-month with no long-term contract. Check-ins are several times a week in the FAQ and a progress overview once per week on the personal trainer page.
The FAQ and the personal trainer page offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. The Terms say refunds are case by case at Caliber's sole discretion and that Caliber does not have to provide one. No page explains how a refund works for Caliber Plus bought through Apple or Google, which bill those purchases. The Terms also say every subscription plan recurs monthly, while the App Store lists yearly Plus plans.
On iPhone the app requires iOS 15.1 or later. The App Store rates it 13+, and Google Play rates it Everyone. Caliber publishes no minimum Android version and nothing about a standalone Apple Watch app.

How much does Caliber 1-on-1 coaching cost?
Caliber publishes no fixed coaching price. Its sign-up page says packages are customized to you, that coaching is structured as a 3 month program, and that the price starts at around $200 per month. Can I cancel Caliber and get my money back?
Caliber's Terms say you can cancel by emailing support@caliberstrong.com or from the My Account section of its site, with access lasting to the end of the paid term. Refund wording differs by page: the FAQ offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, the Terms leave refunds to Caliber's discretion, and no page covers refunds for Plus bought through Apple or Google.
Does Caliber work with Apple Health, ChatGPT or Claude?
Caliber says the app syncs cardio, nutrition, steps and body stats from Apple Health. Its Connect to AI feature is an MCP server that shares your training data with ChatGPT and Claude, set up under Menu > Connected Apps. On iPhone the app requires iOS 15.1 or later. Caliber's coaching is delivered by human trainers, not by an AI model.
