Lifespan Vault Awards 2026.
9 categories. ~30 winners. Judged against the LV Test Protocol v1.0 on bench-tested hardware. The first awards built specifically for premium longevity gear.
Submissions opening Q3 2026. Brand submission forms, judging timeline, and editorial-board review windows go live alongside the v1.1 test protocol release. Winners announced in the inaugural Lifespan Vault Almanac, December 2026.
The 9 categories
Every award is graded against the published category rubric. Editorial board members for each beat lead the judging; brands cannot pay for placement, ranking, or shortlist inclusion. Read the editorial policy for the firewall.
Cold Plunge of the Year
The cold-water immersion tub that earns the highest weighted score under the LV Cold Plunge rubric — chiller noise, water clarity, energy draw, build, and warranty depth.
Sauna of the Year
Awarded to the top-scoring sauna across infrared and traditional, judged on heat performance, EMF, wood quality, heater design, and 24-month reliability data.
Red Light Therapy of the Year
The red-light panel scoring highest on irradiance, spectrum balance, EMF, and panel construction — measured at 6 inches under LV bench conditions.
Wearable of the Year
The wearable with the strongest combination of sensor accuracy (HR, HRV, SpO2, sleep stages), data export, battery life, and daily-use friction.
Hyperbaric of the Year
The hyperbaric chamber leading on pressure rating, oxygen integration, safety certification, and operational complexity. Soft and hard chambers compared within their pressure class.
Recovery Tech of the Year
Open category for recovery hardware that doesn’t fit cold/sauna/red-light cleanly — percussion, compression, EMS, PEMF, vibration platforms.
Sleep Tech of the Year
Top-scoring sleep hardware across mattress, bed-cooling, wearables-for-sleep, and bedside devices — judged on data accuracy versus PSG and daily-use friction.
AI / Software of the Year
The platform that does the most-useful work stitching longevity hardware data into actionable signal — without overstepping into medical advice.
Ultra-Premium of the Year
A standalone category for hardware priced above $25,000 — the buyers who’ll spend on a single piece of gear what most people spend on a longevity protocol in a year.
How the awards work
- Bench-tested only. Every award winner is tested on the Editor’s Bench before judging. No paper-only entries.
- Open submissions, no fees. Brands submit hardware via a public form. There are no submission fees, sponsorship tiers, or pay-to-play categories.
- Category editors lead judging. Each beat’s named editorial-board member leads the shortlist and final scoring for their category, with the editor-in-chief signing off.
- Public rubric, public scores. Winners are announced with their full per-criterion score breakdown so readers can verify the math.
- Annual cadence, December. Winners ship in the annual Lifespan Vault Almanac — a print-and-digital companion that members get first.
