PristineHydro Water Revival System Under-Counter (WRS-UC5)

A plumbed under-counter system that runs municipal water through a 75 GPD high-efficiency reverse osmosis membrane, a dual deionization stage, and a remineralization cartridge before it reaches a dedicated faucet. It is $1,999, and PristineHydro designs it to be installed by a licensed plumber rather than by you.

The WRS-UC5 is the current under-counter version of PristineHydro's Water Revival System. Water passes through a 5 micron pre-filter, a KDF and carbon stage, what the brand calls a proprietary dual deionization process, a Pentair encapsulated 75 GPD high-efficiency reverse osmosis membrane, and a remineralization cartridge that includes a coconut carbon stage. Output is held in a 3.2 gallon storage tank and delivered through a ceramic disk faucet. The filter assembly measures 19.5 by 14.5 by 9 inches, the tank is 16 inches tall by 11 inches in diameter, and dry weight is 33 lb, so this wants a real cabinet rather than a crowded corner under the sink.

$1,999 is the current price against a $2,249 list, verified 2026-08-02 from PristineHydro's own product data, in stock as a single configuration. That buys the filter assembly, the storage tank, a complete standard installation kit, the ceramic disk faucet, and a TDS meter for checking output quality and tracking filter life. A universal drain adapter, a refrigerator kit, and a Flowlok leak protection system are sold as options. Running costs are published and easy to plan around: PristineHydro lists a 12-month UC5 replacement kit at $140, a 24-month kit at $400, and a complete filter kit at $540, and its maintenance notes call for changing the 5 micron and KDF plus carbon filters every 12 months, the deionization filters every 24 months, and the RO membrane and remineralization cartridge every 36 months. Budget a plumber on top: the brand states the system is designed to be installed and maintained by a licensed professional and does not recommend self-installation.

Against what we already list, the UC5 occupies a specific slot. The RKIN U1-W at $670 is also reverse osmosis with an alkaline remineralization stage, but it is a countertop fill-tank unit aimed at renters and batches roughly half a gallon at a time. The Frizzlife SP99 at about $110 to $130 lives under the same sink and carries NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 certification, but it is a 0.5-micron carbon block rather than RO, so it does not remove dissolved solids. The Kind Water whole-house UV and RO bundle at $3,452.87 treats every tap in the house and adds an RO drinking line, which is a larger install and a larger number. The UC5's argument is depth at one faucet: RO, deionization, and remineralization on a single plumbed drinking line, with a brand-stated 1 to 1 waste to recovery ratio that PristineHydro contrasts against the roughly 5 to 1 it attributes to conventional RO systems.

Where it gives ground. We have not tested this system, and the certification picture is thinner than the rest of this category. We found no NSF/ANSI, WQA, or IAPMO certification claim anywhere on the product page, which is the benchmark Boroux, Kind Water, and Frizzlife lead with. PristineHydro instead publishes its own Certificate of Analysis dated August 2024 and a separate PFAS and plastics report dated July 2022. The brand's marketing also goes considerably further than we will: it describes the output as reaching a Type 1 medical grade Ultrapure level, calls the UC5 the only system that removes all harmful acids and all contaminants and properly mineralizes water, and describes the water as restructured and recharged through coconut carbon, lodestones, and crystal quartz. Those are PristineHydro's claims, not ours, and we have verified none of them. We also could not find a published warranty term, a system flow rate beyond the 75 GPD membrane rating, or a stage count on the product page. And even at 1 to 1, this is still reverse osmosis, so roughly a gallon goes down the drain for every gallon produced.
