- Best for
- Buyers who carry a phone on a belt or in a trouser pocket and want a $25.48 neoprene sleeve with a conductive fabric on the body side only, whose phone is up to 3.25 in wide or sits in a bulky case, and who plan to check the result with an EMF meter of their own.

- You want the phone fully offline, since the front is unshielded by design and a closed Faraday bag does that job; or you want a published test of the finished pouch rather than of fabric samples. The SYB Phone Pouch is a 3mm thick neoprene sleeve from Shield Your Body LLC, a Nevada company in Las Vegas that sells its own shielding line next to other brands on shop.shieldyourbody.com. The top is open. The rear panel is lined with a polyester fabric woven with a nickel/cobalt alloy, and the front is left unshielded by design.
There are two sizes at one price. The XL is 4.25 by 7 in (10.8 by 18 cm), takes phones up to 3.25 in (8.3 cm) wide and comes in six colours. The XXL is 4.33 by 7.5 in (11 by 19 cm), is cut for phones in large cases and is black only. Every size has a belt hoop for belts up to 3 in wide. The features list mentions a clear window for touchscreen use, but the description, the infographic and the product photos show an open sleeve with no window. Weight, country of manufacture and a box contents list are not published.
Every shielding figure here is SYB's, and they conflict. The product page says up to 99.9% in its features list and up to 99% in its infographic. SYB publishes lab reports under its SaferBody name. The Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology report, dated July 30, 2019, prints 71.2 to 77.9 dB from 30 MHz to 20 GHz and no percentages. Its customer is Aiwei Functional Textile and its sample a "nickel copper fabric", while the pouch page describes a nickel/cobalt alloy. SYB's graphic of the same data reads "Material: SaferBody" and adds 99.9% at every frequency. A report from Ordos Technologies in Israel, run from 650 MHz to 20 GHz, gives 71.33% to 97.65% for one layer and 82.56% to 99.41% for two. SYB's pouch owner page and blog describe the shielding as "a middle layer" and "a layer" of fabric.
SYB's founder, R Blank, adds his own caveat in the lab PDF: laboratory attenuation testing "almost never tells you how EMF shielding will work, for you, in your real life." The homepage tells buyers to check any shielding with an EMF meter, and the About page notes that changes such as not carrying a phone in a pocket or using speakerphone cost nothing.
Returns run 30 days, counted from the order date on SYB's returns page and from delivery on the product page. The returns page has the buyer pay return shipping, while the product page's structured data marks returns as free. The warranty is 1 year, limited to defects in materials and workmanship and counted from delivery, and a claim needs the warranty confirmation email and photos. SYB's pouch owner page says the product includes a lifetime warranty, while the terms page refers orders placed before January 3, 2024 to a legacy lifetime warranty. Shipping terms also vary by page, from free over $150 on the product page to $3 to $6 to the 48 states below that on the shipping page.

Shield Your Body SYB Phone Pouch, Extra large and XXL - buyer FAQ
Will the SYB Phone Pouch fit my phone in its case?
The XL measures 4.25 by 7 in and takes phones up to 3.25 in (8.3 cm) wide. SYB says it fits virtually all phones, but the same page's FAQ says to verify fit for larger models or thick cases. The XXL, at 4.33 by 7.5 in, is sized for phones in large cases, with the Otterbox Defender given as the example. Both sizes cost $25.48.
Can I still get calls and texts with my phone in the SYB pouch?
SYB says yes. Only the rear panel carries its nickel/cobalt alloy fabric, and the front is left unshielded so the phone keeps its signal and battery life, according to SYB. A closed Faraday bag is the other tool, for a phone kept fully offline. SYB's instructions are to wear it on a belt, with a hoop for belts up to 3 in wide, or in a pocket.
How much EMF does the SYB Phone Pouch block?
SYB's numbers disagree. Its pages say up to 99.9% in some places and up to 99% in others. A 2019 SIMT report prints 71.2 to 77.9 dB, with no percentages, for a nickel copper fabric; SYB's graphic of it adds 99.9%. An Ordos report gives 71.33% to 97.65% for one layer and 82.56% to 99.41% for two, and SYB describes "a middle layer".
What is the return policy and warranty on the SYB Phone Pouch?
You get 30 days, but SYB's pages disagree on when the clock starts: its returns page counts from the order date and has the buyer pay return shipping, while the product page counts from delivery. The warranty terms page gives 1 year against defects from delivery, with a legacy lifetime warranty for orders before January 3, 2024, while SYB's pouch owner page says lifetime.
How much is shipping on an SYB Phone Pouch order?
It depends which SYB page you read. The product page offers free US shipping on orders over $150, with standard delivery in 3 to 7 business days. The shipping page lists $3 to $6 to the 48 states and $5 to $10 to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico below that threshold, though its opening line says shipping is free to any address in the world.
