The uDeluxe Max, model OS-8210, is a full body massage chair from OSIM, a Singapore brand founded in 1979, and OSIM's page calls it the most accessible V-Hand experience yet. OSIM says V-Hand is meant to emulate the gripping and kneading of human hands, especially around the neck, shoulders and back. The rollers run on an extended SL track that OSIM says reaches from the neck through the lumbar region to the buttocks. They are 3D rollers, meaning their protrusion depth adjusts, with 5 intensity levels each for the shoulders and lumbar and 3 for the buttocks.
The techniques are kneading, tapping, dual and rolling, with 3 roller width settings, adjustable tapping speed and automatic shoulder detection over 7 height levels. Airbags squeeze the hands and arms, upper arms, hips and thighs, and their pressure adjusts. The leg rest kneads the calves, wraps the feet and calves in compression and runs reflexology rollers under the soles. Warmth runs across the back and can be turned down or off. OSIM publishes no heat temperature, airbag count, roller travel or session timer.
There are 8 automatic programs, named Neck & Shoulders, Lumbar & Butt, Relax, Energize, Stretch, Sleep, CEO and Beauty, plus manual control. OSIM says the programs were designed by a Japanese chiropractic massage expert. The spec sheet gives a recline of 123 to 155 degrees, which OSIM calls a zero gravity inspired position.
The foot unit extends by up to about 6 cm for different leg lengths, rotates up into an ottoman or retracts so the chair sits like a sofa, and its fabric cover unzips for machine washing. The controller sits in a holder built into the armrest. Sensors stop the backrest and footrest when something is in their path, and OSIM lists an anti heating mechanism.
OSIM's drawing gives 74 cm (29.13 in) wide, 122 cm (48.03 in) deep and 115 cm (45.28 in) high upright, and 179 cm (70.47 in) long and 90 cm (35.43 in) high fully reclined. Net weight is approximately 81 kg (178.57 lb). The US chair runs on 110 to 120V at 180W. OSIM's specs give no maximum user weight, user height range or upholstery material.
Free delivery in mainland USA is curbside, and White Glove Delivery is a flat $450. OSIM says the chair arrives fully assembled and puts the onus on the buyer to check its width before ordering. The FAQ gives a One-Year OSIM Warranty on electrical items bought online. Returns run 14 calendar days from receipt, less return shipping and a 15% restocking fee, which the refund policy waives for defects or OSIM errors.

What does the uDeluxe Max massage mechanism actually do?
OSIM says its V-Hand rollers are meant to emulate the gripping and kneading of human hands, especially around the neck, shoulders and back. The rollers travel an extended SL track from the neck to the buttocks and are 3D, so their protrusion depth changes, with 5 levels for the shoulders and lumbar and 3 for the buttocks. Airbags squeeze the arms, hips and thighs, the leg rest kneads the calves and runs reflexology rollers under the feet, and warmth runs across the back.
What warranty and return terms come with the uDeluxe Max?
OSIM's FAQ covers electrical items bought online with a One-Year OSIM Warranty, personal to the first buyer and valid in the country of purchase, with wear and tear, user error, accidental damage and natural disaster excluded. A return must be requested within 14 calendar days of delivery, with the chair in its original condition and packaging and a Returns Authorisation Number issued first. OSIM deducts return shipping and a 15% restocking fee, about $525 on a $3,499 chair, unless the chair is defective or OSIM made an error.

OSIM says its chairs arrive fully assembled. Free delivery in mainland USA stops at the curb, driveway or loading dock, on weekdays only, and must be signed for. White Glove Delivery costs a flat $450 and brings the chair indoors, up or down stairs, then removes the packaging. OSIM's shipping page gives 7 to 15 business days for massage chairs, and its FAQ gives 10 to 15.
Does OSIM say who should check with a health care provider before using its chairs?
The uDeluxe Max page carries no usage notice. On its uDream AI page, OSIM asks anyone on medication, anyone pregnant, and anyone with heart disease, high or low blood pressure, deep vein thrombosis, diabetes, a pacemaker or other medical implant, recent surgery or a bone condition such as osteoporosis, among others, to consult a health care provider before buying or using that chair. On the uDeluxe Max, OSIM lists sensors that stop the backrest and footrest when something is in their path.
