QUICK VERDICT

Dryft Sleep Mouth Tape is a lip-shaped fabric strip with a small vent in the middle, pressed across closed lips and used for one night. Dryft sells it from $26.99 for 30 strips, and its own pages disagree on whether an opened pack can come back.

Dryft Sleep Mouth Tape is the product Dryft Sleep, LLC, a Los Angeles company, puts first in its store, beside its own earplugs and a magnesium sleep spray. Dryft calls the slot in the centre of each strip a breathing vent. Its FAQ says the tape is meant to encourage nasal breathing and that the vent allows mouth breathing when necessary. A pouch holds 30 strips, one per night, and the FAQ recommends against reusing a strip.

The materials are described unevenly. The main listing says the tape uses a silicone adhesive designed for the skin on and around the lips, and a gallery image sets silicone against acrylic. A second live listing of the same tape, the FAQ and a how-to post say adhesive or medical-grade adhesive and name no chemistry. Dryft calls its materials medical-grade without naming a standard. The gallery describes the backing as breathable fabric with no stretch. Dryft says the tape is made in the USA, and its about post describes a local California manufacturing partner.

The instructions are short: separate the liner at the divider, then press the strip across clean, dry, closed lips from one side. Lip balm goes on about 30 minutes earlier, per the FAQ. For facial hair, the second listing says the strip sits on the lips below the hairline and can be flipped so the curved part rests under a mustache. If a strip feels too small, Dryft's how-to post says the tape does not need to cover the whole lips.

Where it gives ground. The guarantee and the return rules do not line up. The product page, FAQ and refund policy each advertise a 100% money-back guarantee, yet the refund policy limits returns to 30 days from delivery and refuses opened mouth tape once the seal is broken, except for a defect or other issue. The second listing of the same tape adds that Dryft does not offer 100% money-back refunds on multi-pack orders and suggests a single pack first, a limit the main product page, FAQ and refund policy do not mention. The suggested trial is at least five nights on the product page and at least three in the FAQ and refund policy. Return shipping is the buyer's cost unless stated otherwise, there is no restocking fee, and no warranty is published. For FSA or HSA payment, the product page names Burst and the FAQ names FLOAT.

Dryft states standard US orders of its own products ship free by USPS or UPS Ground, while its FAQ warns that fees may apply depending on the cart. Delivery time is not published.

Frequently asked

Dryft Sleep Mouth Tape, 30, 60 and 180 strip packs - buyer FAQ

How much does Dryft Sleep Mouth Tape cost?

On Dryft's US store on September 30, 2026, the tape was $26.99 for 30 strips, $44.99 for 60 and $99.00 for 180, with no strike-through price. Subscribing takes 10% off each delivery, so the 30 pack drops to $24.29. Dryft's per-night label for the 30 pack reads $.89, while the division gives about $0.90.

Can I return Dryft mouth tape after I open it?

Dryft's pages give two answers. The product page, FAQ and refund policy all advertise a 100% money-back guarantee, and the refund policy says to email hello@dryftsleep.com after a try. The same policy accepts returns within 30 days of delivery but excludes mouth tape once the seal is broken, except for a defect or other issue, and the buyer pays return shipping unless Dryft states otherwise.

Who should not use Dryft Sleep Mouth Tape?

Dryft's own disclaimer says the tape is not intended for children under age 6, for people with heart conditions, nasal congestion or other breathing disorders, for anyone at risk of vomiting or using sedatives, alcohol or other intoxicants, or for anyone unable to remove the tape on their own. The pouch adds that it should not be worn with difficulty breathing through the nose.

How long does a pack of Dryft mouth tape last?

Each strip is meant for one night, and Dryft's FAQ advises against reusing one, so the packs cover 30, 60 or 180 nights of nightly use. Shelf life and expiry dates are not published. The subscription can ship every 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks at 10% off, while the FAQ separately describes subscription billing as monthly.
