Pod 6 went on sale on 23 September 2026, and the headline is the price floor rather than the hardware. Every previous Pod was sold for a whole bed. This one is also sold as a Solo, covering one side for one sleeper, at $1,999 in Twin, Twin XL, Queen, King and California King. Eight Sleep's own size chart puts it plainly: Standard sizes fit the whole bed and are designed for one or two sleepers, Solo sizes fit one side and are designed for one sleeper. If you sleep alone, or you are the only one in the bed who wants the temperature moved, you no longer pay for a second zone you will not use.
The Standard configuration runs $2,699 Full, $2,899 Queen and $2,999 King or California King, which undercuts the Pod 5 cover Eight Sleep still sells at $2,799 to $3,199.
What the brand says changed, in its own numbers: the Hub is 50 percent smaller and now fits under most bed frames rather than sitting beside it; the Cover carries 9 biometric sensors per side against 1 on Pod 5; temperature relief is 20 percent faster; the thermal engine is rated 550 watts against 400 on Pod 5; and priming takes 5 minutes against 20. Eight Sleep also says the larger sensor array brings heart rate, HRV and breathing rate closer to medical-grade parity. That is the brand's characterisation, and the Pod is not a cleared medical device: Eight Sleep states it is pursuing HTA clearance in Abu Dhabi and US FDA clearance for sleep apnea, which means it does not hold them today.
The part buyers miss is the membership, so it sits next to the price on this page rather than in a footnote. Autopilot is required for the first 12 months. Standard is $199 a year and carries a 2-year warranty. Enhanced is $299 and Elite is $399, and both carry the 5-year warranty, which stays valid only while the plan stays paid. Elite adds what Eight Sleep calls Health Check, cardiovascular and respiratory monitoring. One membership covers two sleeper profiles.
Two compatibility facts worth knowing before you choose Solo: Eight Sleep says Solo sizes do not work with the Base or the Blanket, while Standard works with every add-on, and a second Solo cover can be zipped alongside the first later if a partner joins.

No. Eight Sleep states that the Pod is not currently a cleared medical device and that it is pursuing HTA clearance in Abu Dhabi and US FDA clearance for sleep apnea. Its sleep and biometric data is presented for wellness and personal insight, and this page does not present the Pod as diagnosing, treating or preventing any condition.
Should I upgrade from a Pod 5 to a Pod 6?
Only if one of the changes is something you actually feel. A Pod 5 owner already has dual-zone water-based cooling and Autopilot, and the membership carries across, so the upgrade buys a smaller Hub, faster priming, faster temperature response and a denser sensor array. The clearer case is the buyer who never owned one, because the entry price fell from $2,799 for the cheapest whole-bed Pod 5 cover to $1,999 for a one-side Pod 6 Solo.
