The No Fuss Plus is Quagga Designs' expandable bed frame, cut from FSC-certified maple plywood sourced in Quebec and made in Canada. There is nothing to screw, hammer, or bolt: the base pieces set up by hand and the slats slot in on top. Quagga times its own crew building one in 2 minutes 22 seconds, and while your first attempt will take longer, this is genuinely a no-toolbox frame.

The reason to pick this model over Quagga's other frames is the size conversion. The same frame extends from single to double, or from queen to king, using extra slats that ship in the box; you pop the slats out, space the base pieces wider, and drop the extra slats in. A queen configuration weighs 70 pounds, is rated for 635 pounds, sits 11 inches tall with 8 inches of clearance underneath, and spaces its slats 2.5 inches apart, which is tight enough for most mattress makers' support requirements. Know the trade-offs. This is plywood, not solid hardwood, so if you want heavy timber this is the wrong frame.
