Renue by Science PET NMN Longevity Chews for Cats

Almost nobody formulates an NAD precursor chew for cats, which is what makes this one worth a look at $34.95 for 60 chews. It is a real cat formula rather than the dog chew relabelled: two actives instead of nine, and 35 mg of NMN against the dog chew's 77 mg. What it is not is a bargain per milligram.

The cat shelf is the harder one to shop. Most pet longevity supplements are formulated for dogs and mention cats as an afterthought, if at all. Renue by Science, better known for selling liposomal and sublingual NMN to humans, built a separate cat product, and the label bears that out. The cat PRODUCT FACTS panel lists two actives: nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) 35 mg and fish oil 25 mg. The dog version lists nine actives totalling 637 mg, including 250 mg of glucosamine and 77 mg of NMN. That is the real difference between the two products: less than half the NMN, and none of the joint-formula ingredients. The front label reads "with Liposomal NMN," and Renue's position is that liposomes carry more of each active through the stomach. That is the brand's claim about its own delivery system.

Now the part that should govern the decision. At $34.95 for 60 chews a chew is $0.58, and the NMN costs about $0.0166 per milligram. Zesty Paws Healthy Aging, the dose-published product on this shelf, is $59.97 for 60 capsules (verified 2026-08-06) at 60 mg of Niagen each, or about $0.0167 per milligram. Those are the same number. The dog version of this same chew is roughly 55 percent cheaper per milligram; the cat version carries no per-milligram discount at all. Buy it because it exists and is formulated for a cat, not because it is cheap for what it delivers. Two caveats on that comparison: NMN and nicotinamide riboside are different molecules, and Zesty Paws does not make a cat version, so for a cat owner it is a reference point rather than an option.

On practicalities: it is a soft chew, which is either the easiest or the hardest format depending on your cat, and the only honest thing to say is that cats are selective and yours may simply decline. Dosing is 1 chew daily up to 10 lb and 2 chews above 10 lb. A 9 lb cat is about $0.58 a day and 35 mg of NMN, with a jar lasting two months. An 11 lb cat is $1.17 a day and 70 mg, and goes through a jar a month. Two pounds of cat is the difference between roughly $17 and roughly $35 a month, which is worth knowing before you subscribe to anything. The label states the product contains fish, which matters if your cat reacts to seafood protein. Cat-specific NMN evidence is thinner than dog evidence, which is itself early, and Renue's page carries the FDA disclaimer that the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Ask your veterinarian first. That is not a formality here.
