Renue by Science PET NMN Longevity Chews for Dogs

Renue by Science sells NMN to humans, and this is its dog version: 60 soft chews for $34.95, the cheapest entry on the pet NAD shelf. Read the label before you read the name. Each chew carries 77 mg of NMN, but it also carries 250 mg of glucosamine, and by weight this is a joint formula with a real NMN dose attached rather than an NMN chew with extras.

Renue by Science built its name selling NMN to humans in delivery formats most brands skip: liposomal capsules, sublingual tablets, transdermal patches. The pet line points the same molecule at a different customer, and the front label reads "with Liposomal NMN." Renue's position is that liposomes carry more of each active through the stomach. That is the brand's claim about its own delivery system, not a result we can verify.

Here is what the label actually lists, per 2.5 g chew: glucosamine HCl 250 mg, flaxseed powder 100 mg, nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) 77 mg, chondroitin sulfate (avian) 50 mg, MSM 50 mg, resveratrol 40 mg, Boswellia serrata extract 35 mg, fish oil 25 mg, and vitamin C 10 mg. Nine actives, 637 mg in total, and NMN is 12 percent of it. The four ingredients most people associate with joint supplements, glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and Boswellia, come to 385 mg, or about 60 percent. Read that list and the product reclassifies itself. One practical note: Renue publishes the panel as a gallery image rather than as page text, so a text search of the product page will not surface it. It is there, in the seventh image.

That reclassification is what makes the price interesting. At $34.95 for 60 chews a chew is $0.58, so the NMN alone costs about $0.0076 per milligram. The alternative already in our catalog, Zesty Paws Healthy Aging, is $59.97 for 60 capsules (verified 2026-08-06) at 60 mg of Niagen each, or about $0.0167 per milligram. Renue is roughly 55 percent cheaper per milligram of NAD precursor, and the joint ingredients come along with it. Hold that comparison loosely: NMN and nicotinamide riboside are different molecules with different absorption paths, so cost per milligram is indicative rather than like-for-like.

Dosing scales by weight: 1 chew daily up to 40 lb, 2 chews from 41 to 80 lb, 3 chews above 80 lb. That is 77, 154, or 231 mg of NMN a day at $0.58, $1.17, or $1.75. A 30 lb terrier runs about $17 a month and a jar lasts two months. A 90 lb shepherd runs about $52 a month and empties the jar in 20 days. The soft chew is the easy part: no pill pocket, no capsule buried in cheese. Two things to check before you order. The label states the product contains shellfish and fish, which rules it out for dogs that react to either. And if your dog is already on a glucosamine joint supplement, this doubles up on it, so take both labels to your vet rather than stacking them yourself. Renue's page carries the FDA disclaimer that the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and its strongest support line is that hundreds of customers believe their pets are benefiting. Customer belief is not evidence, and we will not dress it up as any.
