QUICK VERDICT
The reseller and the maker publish different bulb counts and different warranty terms, so read both before spending $2,390.
- Best for
- Renters and buyers short on space who want a sauna that plugs into a household outlet, and who can wait on an order that Prasanna dispatches from Portugal 2 weeks after purchase.
- Skip if
- You want a stated amperage or plug type, a UL or ETL listing, or certainty about whether the 4 bulb or the 5 bulb panel arrives. Pass as well if 2 people plan to sit in it together, since Prasanna's FAQ describes room for one seated user against the 1 to 3 on both product pages.

The Prasanna Sauna Pod is a portable infrared sauna: a quilted tent with a freestanding wooden panel of infrared bulbs set inside it. Shield Your Body, a Las Vegas reseller, sells it at $2,390 with a choice of a US/CAN (120V) or EU/UK/AUS (220V) controller. Its listing says Prasanna ships the order from Portugal 2 weeks after purchase.
The reseller and the maker describe different hardware. Shield Your Body's listing and its 2024 photographs show a flat wood panel with 5 RubyLux bulbs rated at 250W each. Prasanna's own page sells a NEW 2026 MODEL with 4 bulbs behind metal mesh guards. Neither site says which panel a Shield Your Body order receives. If the panel matters to you, ask Shield Your Body at support@shieldyourbody.com before paying.
Prasanna says the pod reaches up to 85°C in under 20 minutes and runs on a standard household outlet. Its box list includes power adapters for the buyer's country and a ground outlet tester, which Prasanna says lets you verify the outlet is properly grounded before every session.
Shield Your Body gives the tent as 55 x 51 x 51 inches (140 x 130 x 130 cm) and the bulb panel as 23 x 23 x 10 inches. Prasanna asks for about 1 m2 of floor and a ceiling of around 1.4 m. Both sites put capacity at 1 to 3 people, while Prasanna's FAQ says the tent "comfortably fits one person seated", and no seat appears in the box list. Setup takes 3 minutes by the reseller's count and about 5 minutes without tools by the maker's.
The listing title calls the pod "Extremely Low EMF", and its feature list mentions shielded cabling. The listing's own FAQ says that wording means "extremely low EMF rather than absolute zero."
Warranty and returns differ by page. Shield Your Body's listing gives 24 months on parts and materials, and it refunds Prasanna products that reach Prasanna in Europe in good condition, with original packaging, within 60 days of purchase. Prasanna's pages state a 1 year warranty in the FAQ, 2 years on the returns page, and lifetime assistance and replacement parts for damage or faults. Its returns page allows 60 days with the original packaging, while its FAQ gives a 30 day money back guarantee. Electrical safety certification and cancellation terms are not published by either site.
Bulbs have their own terms on the Shield Your Body listing: returns within 90 days of purchase, then a $39 fee for replacement bulbs.
