QUICK VERDICT
The Aurelius is Renu Therapy's laydown tank, built for lying back: a 62.5 inch long water area, a 0.5 HP chiller and a 1 kW heater, all running from a standard 120V outlet. Every color and deck combination sells for $9,999, delivered free to the curb in the contiguous US.
- Best for
- A home buyer who would rather lie back than sit upright in a plunge, fits Renu's 6'7" and 275 lb limit, and has a level floor near a drain that can carry about 1,065 lbs, a dedicated 120V, 15A outlet within 12 feet, and 2 to 4 people to move a 297 lb tank off a pallet.
- Skip if
- You want someone to place the tank for a known fee, since delivery is curbside and Renu publishes no price for anything more; you want a real wood breath deck, because every combination on this listing is composite; or you need an ETL, UL or CSA listing in writing, which Renu does not publish for the Aurelius.

The Aurelius is Renu Therapy's laydown cold plunge tank, built to order in Southern California and sold direct from the company's own store. Renu describes a contoured seat and foot stabilizers, a lowered entry point, and a full length breath deck. The water area is 62.5 inches long, 26.75 inches wide and 26 inches deep, inside a body that measures 70 by 50.75 by 29.75 inches. Renu's FAQ sets the user limit at 6'7" and 275 lbs.
The chiller and heater share one 95 gallon tank, so the water can be set anywhere from 37°F to 104°F. The FAQ gives about 2°F an hour of cooling and 4°F an hour of heating, while the user manual and quick start guide give 1.5 to 3°F and 4 to 6°F. It plugs into a standard 120V, 15A outlet, with a dedicated circuit recommended. Peak draw is 518 W cooling and 1,013 W heating, with 24 hour averages of 130 W at 40°F and 260 W at 100°F. Renu rates the noise at 58 decibels about 3 feet from the large grill.
Water passes through a reusable primary filter in the tub and an XL 50 micron filter in the mechanics bay, alongside an ozone generator. An LCD touchscreen on the tub and a WiFi app control it, and a switch operated pump drains it.
The tank is 297 lbs dry and about 1,065 lbs filled, on a floor Renu wants level, water safe and near a drain. Indoors it needs a well ventilated room because the chiller releases warm air, and Renu says it can also live outdoors. Minimum clearances are 4 inches at the large back vent, 15 inches on the screen side and 27 inches opposite the screen. A garden hose fills it, with no plumbing.
It ships fully assembled in 6 to 8 weeks, transit not included. The freight company stops at the curb, and getting the tank off the pallet and into place is the buyer's job. Renu recommends 36 inch doorways along the whole route, and because the body is 50.75 inches wide, it asks buyers to measure and get in touch before ordering.
The warranty has 2 terms: 5 years on components and 1 year on the chiller. A $499.99 extension bought within 364 days takes the chiller to 5 years. Most repairs are done by the owner. Cancelling before shipment costs 5%, and returns run 45 days from delivery at a 5% restocking fee plus shipping.
The linked user manual gives a different width, dry weight, volume and power draw.

Renu Therapy Aurelius - buyer FAQ
How much does the Renu Aurelius cost?
Renu Therapy's own store listed the Aurelius at $9,999 on 2026-10-14. That one price covers all 24 combinations of base color and composite breath deck, and no variant showed a sale price. Curbside delivery in the contiguous US is free. The chiller warranty extension is a separate $499.99. We did not open checkout, so tax is not known.
What comes in the box with the Aurelius?
The product page lists the tub, the integrated WiFi controlled chiller and heater with filtration and ozone, an insulated all weather cover with child safety locks, 1 reusable primary filter and 2 XL secondary filters. The cover is part of the $9,999 price here, and Renu also sells it on its own for $519. Replacement filters and maintenance packages are separate listings.
How is the Aurelius delivered, and do I need an installer?
It ships fully assembled, and the freight company drops it at the curb in the contiguous US. Moving 297 lbs from the pallet to its spot falls to you; Renu's FAQ suggests 2 to 4 people and a furniture dolly. There is no plumbing to install, because a garden hose fills it and the built in pump drains it.
What power and floor space does the Aurelius need?
One standard 3 prong 120V, 15A outlet, ideally on its own circuit, within reach of the 12 foot GFCI cord, and no extension cord. The body takes 70 by 50.75 inches of floor and weighs about 1,065 lbs filled. Leave 27 inches clear opposite the screen and 15 inches on the screen side.
What warranty comes with the Aurelius?
Renu covers components for 5 years and the chiller for 1 year. The warranty page counts from delivery, and the user manual counts from shipment. Paying $499.99 within 364 days stretches the chiller to 5 years. Coverage is for home use by the original buyer, and the owner does most repairs, with parts supplied by Renu.
