Golden Designs Kaskinen 6 Person Barn Hybrid Outdoor Sauna GDI-8526-01

The Kaskinen, SKU GDI-8526-01, is a six person outdoor sauna from Golden Designs, founded in 2009 and based in Ontario, California. It has a gable barn roof, an All Weather Exterior and a Canadian red cedar interior. RecoSauna, a reseller in Covina, California, sells it at $22,999.00 and states it is an official Golden Designs retailer. Golden Designs sells the same SKU on its own store at $11,999.00 against a struck $22,999.00, an $11,000.00 gap on the same date.

It has two heat sources that never run together. The manual says the stove or the infrared heaters can operate, not both, and a main power switch selects one. The 8.0 kW stove has an ideal range of 170 to 185 degrees F and heats up to 190. The 15 infrared emitters, 7 carbon PureTech panels and 8 near infrared elements, run 118 to 132 degrees F ideal and heat up to 140. Neither store names the stove's maker or model. No infrared wattage, wavelength or EMF figure is published for this model, and Near Zero EMF is part of the panel name, not a measurement.

Golden Designs gives the outside as 73 x 86 x 95 in (WDH) and the inside as 63 x 80 x 91 in at the peak. RecoSauna prints 84 x 69 x 95 in outside and 78 x 63 x 88 in inside. Both add 4 in of roof overhang to the depth. The sauna weighs 1600 lbs assembled. Power is one dedicated 240V 40A circuit, run by a certified licensed electrician in copper wire. The manual asks for a level, dry surface, recommends a concrete base or wood deck, and sets a duty cycle of one hour off for every four hours on.

Delivery is curbside freight, free to the continental US under RecoSauna's shipping policy, which makes unloading the crate the buyer's job, while RecoSauna's product page says the driver unloads at the curb or driveway. A liftgate may be available only for crates of 92 inches or shorter, and no crate size is published for this model, which ships at 1795 lbs. RecoSauna's lead times disagree: the buy box says up to 5 to 7 days, the store policy says most saunas ship within 21 to 30 business days after order confirmation. The manual recommends four adults for assembly, where RecoSauna's FAQ says two adults and about one hour for most infrared models.

The terms are where it gives ground. Golden Designs calls its cover a Limited Lifetime Warranty, defines it as 5 years on the wood structure, control panel, harnesses and lights, covers parts and not labor, and excludes the stove, whose own term is not published. Golden Designs says it does not warrant products bought outside its authorized channels, and the RecoSauna pages we read link no Golden Designs dealer certificate.
