We have slept grounded for more than five years, on another brand's plastic-coated grounding sheet. So we came to the Premium Grounding sheet with a baseline, and with a specific complaint about the old setup: you could always tell it was there. A month into sleeping on the Premium Grounding sheet, the thing we notice most is that we no longer notice it at all.
Premium Grounding sent us a King for this review. Two of us, Ryan and his wife, have slept on it every night for about a month.
Quick answer
- Buy it if you already sleep grounded and want the grounding layer to disappear: the Premium Grounding sheet is an underlay that goes under your regular fitted sheet, so you sleep on your own bedding, not on a grounding product
- Buy it if a coated sheet or mat runs warm for you: ours does not trap heat the way our old one did
- Skip it if you want proven outcomes: the research on grounding is small and early, and no sheet can promise a sleep result
What changed: the grounding product disappeared
The old sheet had a plastic coating. You could feel its surface, it sat bulky on the bed, and on warm nights it held heat. Over the years it also became defective: the coating cracked and peeled away from the backing, which is not a surprise for a product that relies on a conductive surface surviving years of use.

The Premium Grounding sheet takes a different approach. It is a flat underlay woven from cotton and stainless steel fiber, 30% steel by Premium Grounding's figure, designed to go under your normal fitted sheet rather than on top of it. In the bed it simply is not there: no plastic surface, no crinkle, no warm patch under you. It fits the bed better than our old one, and the bed feels like a bed made with good sheets rather than one with equipment on it. That is the whole reason we prefer it.
Setting it up

It goes on as a flat layer over the mattress, with your fitted sheet over the top. A 4.6 m (15 ft) cord runs from a snap on the sheet to the nearest grounded wall outlet, and Premium Grounding sells the sheet with USA, Canadian, EU, UK and Australian plugs. We checked the ground before relying on it, and we recommend you do the same: a grounding sheet on an outlet that is not grounded is just a sheet.
One detail worth knowing before you test it: the cord carries a 100k ohm current-limiting resistor, which Premium Grounding describes as a safety feature. Because of it, a basic continuity tester reads open between the plug's earth pin and the sheet, and a multimeter should read in the region of 100k ohms. That is the correct result, not a fault. Premium Grounding told us it is their most common support question, so check this before you decide a working sheet is dead.

What we experienced, and what that is worth
This section is two people's month on the sheet, after years of grounded sleep on another brand, reported because leaving it out would be dishonest and framed carefully because two people are not evidence.
Getting into bed, there is a sense of calm that people who already sleep grounded tend to recognize, and we noticed it on this sheet quickly. Over the month we have slept well on it and woken feeling more recovered, and both of us like the bed more than we did with the old sheet.
We are not telling you the sheet did that. We did not measure sleep, ran no comparison, and changed the bed's feel at the same time as its grounding layer: a softer, cooler bed is a sleep improvement on its own, independent of any grounding. The published research on grounding is small and early, and the honest position is that it is interesting rather than settled. Read our experience as a reason to look, not as a result you should expect.
One more data point, and it is the brand's, not ours. Premium Grounding shared its post-purchase survey with us: of 2,075 of its own buyers who answered between 9 March and 7 June 2026, 41% named a pain-related reason for buying and 27% a sleep-related one. It records why people bought, not whether it helped, and it covers Premium Grounding's buyers only.
Where it gives ground
It only works with a grounded outlet within reach of the cord, so check the outlet first. Premium Grounding sells a socket tester separately if you do not own one.
Double, Queen and King all get the same 175 x 190 cm panel. It covers where you sleep rather than the whole surface of a King mattress, so do not expect edge-to-edge coverage on a large bed.
It costs more than the silver-fiber sheets we list. A King is $241, against $129.95 to $179.95 for the GroundLuxe sheet across its sizes.
Premium Grounding does not publish a fabric resistance or post-wash conductivity figure, and told us so plainly. If you want certainty, take a baseline reading with a multimeter when the sheet is new, before the first wash, and recheck after washing; without a baseline a later reading tells you very little.
The verdict
The Premium Grounding sheet does what our old sheet did and removes everything we disliked about it. It disappears under the bedding, it does not run warm, and two of us have slept on it every night for a month without thinking about it, which is the best thing you can say about bedding. We plan to buy one for each bed in the house, and we may take it with us when we travel. At $241 for a King it is not the cheapest way to sleep grounded, but for the build and the comfort we think the price is fair.
How we tested, and our relationship with Premium Grounding
Premium Grounding sent the sheet free for this review. We earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no cost to you, and Premium Grounding had no say over the verdict and no copy approval. Every specification above was read from premiumgrounding.com on 10 October 2026 or given to us in writing by Premium Grounding, and the table says which; everything under "What we experienced" is two people's use, not a measurement.
Is the Premium Grounding sheet worth it?
For us, yes. After more than five years on another brand's plastic-coated grounding sheet, the Premium Grounding underlay disappears under our own fitted sheet, does not run warm, and two of us have slept on it nightly for a month. At $241 for a King it costs more than silver-fiber sheets, and we think the build justifies it.
Do you sleep directly on the Premium Grounding sheet?
No. It is a flat underlay that goes on the mattress with your regular fitted sheet over it, and Premium Grounding says it conducts through your bedding. That is why it feels like normal bedding rather than a grounding product.
Why does my continuity tester say the Premium Grounding sheet is not working?
The cord carries a 100k ohm current-limiting resistor, so a basic continuity tester reads open between the plug's earth pin and the sheet. Premium Grounding says a multimeter should read in the region of 100k ohms. That is the correct result, not a fault.
Does the Premium Grounding sheet get hot?
Not in our use. Our previous plastic-coated grounding sheet held heat on warm nights; the cotton and steel underlay does not.
What sizes does Premium Grounding make?
Single/Twin is 90 x 190 cm; Double, Queen and King share one 175 x 190 cm panel; Super King is 216 x 216 cm. On 10 October 2026 they were $202, $241 and $265 on premiumgrounding.com.
Does grounding improve sleep?
The published research is small and early. We slept well and woke feeling more recovered over a month on the sheet, but we measured nothing and changed the feel of the bed at the same time, so read that as two people's experience, not a result to expect.
